D Magazine Names Three Hunton Andrews Kurth Attorneys to 2024 Best Lawyers in Dallas

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that partners Kathleen Muñoz, Peter G. Weinstock, and Kathleen J. Wu have been named to D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas list for 2024.

To compile the listing of the city’s top local attorneys, D Magazine editors conduct a citywide poll asking Dallas lawyers to nominate those peers they would rank among the best in one of 40 practice areas. An anonymous panel of esteemed lawyers then joins the magazine in reviewing nominees and finalizing the list.

Muñoz’s practice includes all facets of commercial real estate and general business transactions, including commercial lending and finance transactions, as well as the representation of private equity funds, investment limited partners, equity investors and developers. She regularly represents financial institutions, lenders and special servicers on matters involving origination, warehouse lending and securitization, as well as workouts, assumptions and the exercise of remedies. She has experience in the leasing, acquisition, development and financing of hotels, multifamily projects, office buildings and shopping centers.

Co-practice group leader of the Financial Institutions section, Weinstock focuses his practice on corporate and regulatory representation of a wide range of financial institutions including fintechs. He has led more than 400 M&A transactions, hundreds of securities offerings, including over a dozen IPOs, and capital planning, over 50 de novo banks and hundreds of administrative and other enforcement actions. Weinstock was recently named to the Independent Bankers Association’s Wall of Heroes and Legends of Texas Community Banking, an honor reserved for special individuals who have contributed significantly to the strength of community banking in Texas.

Wu provides counsel on complex financings, joint ventures, asset management, loan servicing, affordable housing, construction and development, data centers, multi asset portfolios, retail, industrial and warehouse properties, and hospitality and other transactions. She is known for her understanding of clients’ businesses, anticipating and planning for the unexpected, and guiding clients through difficult legal and business matters.
