Hunton & Williams LLP Lawyer Amber Rogers Selected as the Firm’s 2017 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow
WASHINGTON — May 25, 2017 — The firm is pleased to announced that Amber Rogers, a labor and employment partner in Hunton & Williams’ Dallas office, has been selected to participate in the 2017 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). Established in 2011, the LCLD is a national organization composed of more than 265 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are committed to creating a diverse legal profession.
The Fellows Program is a year-long professional development initiative designed to identify, train and advance high-potential, mid-career attorneys from member organizations as the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Consistent with the LCLD’s mission, the goal of the Fellows Program is to increase diversity within the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments. Amber is the seventh lawyer from the firm to benefit from this fellowship.
Amber will take part in a year-long professional development program that focuses on leadership, personal brand development and relationship building. She will attend three in-person meetings offering panel and guest speaker presentations, small group discussions and opportunities for peer mentoring. She also will have extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership, which includes managing partners and general counsel from major US law firms and corporations, through day-long workshops and luncheons held in various cities throughout the year.
Hunton & Williams has been a strong supporter of the LCLD since it was first established in 2009. Managing Partner Wally Martinez has served as Chair of its Board of Directors, and firm Senior Counsel Robert Grey currently serves as LCLD President.
