(Houston, TX)—Managing Partner, Bob Jewell, announced today that Andrews Kurth has donated over $75,000 in cash to those in need this holiday season. The donations were made on behalf of the firm’s clients and in recognition of the charities’ ongoing efforts to serve those in need throughout the world.

Food bank contributions were made in the cities in which the firm operates, including:

Austin: Capital Area Food Bank of Texas
Beijing: World Food Programme
Dallas: North Texas Food Bank
Dubai: World Food Programme
Houston: Houston Food Bank
London: Whitechapel Mission
New York: City Harvest
Research Triangle Park: Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
The Woodlands: Interfaith of The Woodlands
Washington, DC: Capital Area Food Bank

The firm also made a monetary donation to No Kid Hungry, a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

“We are pleased to donate to the food banks again this year, ” said Jewell. “The food banks serve a vital role in our communities, and I believe that there are few causes that can have such an immediate impact as that of relieving hunger.”

The firm also sponsored its 7th annual “Open Up Your Heart and Give” campaign which called on each of the firm’s offices to sponsor a food drive. Attorneys and staff pulled together and collectively donated 6,050 food items, 29,000 meals and, in addition to the firm’s financial contribution, the staff and attorneys donated another $33,024—enough cash and food for the food banks to provide thousands of meals to homeless and hungry children, women and men across the world this holiday season.
