(Houston, TX)—Managing Partner, Bob Jewell, announced today that Andrews Kurth Kenyon has donated nearly $75,000 in cash to those in need this holiday season. The donations were made on behalf of the firm’s clients.

“In the nearly 15 years we have been donating to the food banks, this year seems extra important, as many of our communities are still recovering from the aftermath of the recent hurricanes and other natural disasters,” said Jewell. “The food banks serve such a vital role in all of our communities, and I believe that there are few causes that can have such an immediate impact as that of relieving hunger."

Food bank contributions were made in the cities in which the firm operates, including:

The firm also made a monetary donation to No Kid Hungry, a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

The firm also sponsored its annual “Open Up Your Heart and Give” campaign which called on each of the firm’s offices to sponsor a food drive. In each office, attorneys and staff pulled together and collectively donated nearly 1000 food items, and, in addition to the firm’s financial contribution,  donated another $30,000—enough cash and food for the food banks to provide thousands of meals to homeless and hungry children, women and men around the world this holiday season. Many employees even spent time at their respective food banks serving those in need this year.
