Andrews Kurth Kenyon Earns Top Marks in 2018 Corporate Equality Index
(Houston, Texas)—Andrews Kurth Kenyon is pleased to announce that the law firm has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC). Andrews Kurth Kenyon joins the ranks of 609 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
“At Andrews Kurth Kenyon, diversity and inclusion are core values. Our perfect score on the HRC’s CEI is reflective of our commitment to diversity and inclusion for the benefit of our workforce, our clients, and the communities in which we live and work. We are proud of this accomplishment and will continue to strive to realize the competitive advantages afforded by inclusiveness,” said Bob Jewell, Managing Partner.
“While our commitment to LGBTQ inclusiveness has always been strong, earning an HRC CEI score of 100 is the pinnacle. It is an honor for our firm to be recognized not only for our workplace equality efforts, but also for our support of equality in the marketplace,” said Elizabeth Campbell, Partner and Chief Diversity Officer.
The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Andrews Kurth Kenyon's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
