Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that associate Kate Perkins has been recognized by her peers as a member of Business North Carolina magazine’s 2025 Legal Elite for Litigation.

Business North Carolina magazine partners with DataJoe Research to facilitate an online peer-voting and internet research process, asking lawyers across the state to nominate colleagues they consider the “top attorneys” in 17 practice areas.

Based in the firm’s Charlotte office, Perkins focuses her practice on complex litigation. She represents clients in complex business, real estate and environmental disputes in the state and federal courts across the country. Perkins has particular experience in real estate receivership matters and commercial real estate litigation, and has represented numerous public and private companies in business tort and contract disputes. She has also defended utility companies in Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act lawsuits. Perkins is active in the firm’s pro bono efforts and has represented clients in Medicaid and Social Security disability benefit appeals and hearings, veterans in discharge upgrade applications, and a nonprofit organization in a landlord-tenant dispute.
