Chuck Ossola comments on the historic ruling, TC Heartland v Kraft Foods, its significance within the legal community and resulting impact on patent litigation in the Eastern District of Virginia. Chuck explains to IPPro Patents, “Perhaps the ultimate effect of TC Heartland and its progeny will be a broader distribution of patent filings across the country, especially in jurisdictions that have had a large docket of patent cases over the past decade (including, for example, Delaware, the Eastern District of Virginia, New Jersey, and the Northern and Central Districts of California).”
