Houston Volunteer Lawyers Spotlights Associate Brandon Bell for Pro Bono Week 2022
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to share that Associate Brandon Bell was recognized with a Volunteer Spotlight for his pro bono service with Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL) as part of a Pro Bono Week 2022 celebration. In particular, HVL highlighted his work representing tenants at trial during the pandemic-fueled surge in evictions. This year alone, Bell has managed seven such cases.
“Brandon had the demeanor of a long-time litigator and effectively presented his reasoning through persuasive argument and strategic questioning,” said Michelle Tewal, HVL staff attorney and frequent mentor on eviction cases.
Bell’s practice is focused on complex restructuring and bankruptcy matters and related litigation. He advises clients on all aspects of insolvency matters and bankruptcy cases. He represents debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, boards of directors, and various official and ad hoc committees.
