Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises DTE Energy Company in its Offering of $280 Million Aggregate Principal Amount of Junior Subordinated Debentures
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised DTE Energy Company (“DTE Energy”) in connection with an SEC-registered offering of $280 million aggregate principal amount of its 2021 Series E 4.375% Junior Subordinated Debentures due 2081.
DTE Energy is a Michigan corporation engaged in utility operations through its wholly owned subsidiaries, DTE Electric Company (“DTE Electric”) and DTE Gas Company (“DTE Gas”). DTE Electric is a Michigan public utility engaged in the generation, purchase, distribution and sale of electricity to approximately 2.2 million customers in southeastern Michigan. DTE Gas is a Michigan public utility engaged in the purchase, storage, transportation, distribution and sale of natural gas to approximately 1.3 million customers throughout Michigan and the sale of storage and transportation capacity. DTE Energy also has non-utility operations that are engaged in a variety of energy related businesses.
