Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Initial Purchasers on $375 Million Senior Notes Offering of Kentucky Power Company
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented the initial purchasers in connection with Kentucky Power Company’s (KPCo) issuance of $375 million in aggregate principal amount of its 7.00% Senior Notes, Series J due 2033 in a private placement under Rule 144A and Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
KPCo is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company Inc., a public utility holding company. KPCo is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 163,000 customers in eastern Kentucky, and in supplying and marketing electric power at wholesale to other electric utility companies, municipalities and other market participants.
