Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises on CenterPoint Energy, Inc.’s Inaugural $800 Million Junior Subordinated Notes Offering

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented the underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (CenterPoint) of $800 million aggregate principal amount of Junior Subordinated Notes, consisting of (i) $400 million aggregate principal amount of its 7.000% Fixed-to-Fixed Reset Rate Junior Subordinated Notes, Series A, due 2055 and (ii) $400 million aggregate principal amount of its 6.850% Fixed-to-Fixed Reset Rate Junior Subordinated Notes, Series B, due 2055. This was CenterPoint’s inaugural junior subordinated notes offering. The transaction closed on August 14, 2024.

CenterPoint is a public utility holding company headquartered in Houston, Texas. CenterPoint, through its operating subsidiaries, owns and operates electric transmission, distribution and generation facilities and natural gas distribution facilities and provides energy services and other related activities.
