Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Underwriters of Indiana Michigan Power Company’s $450 Million Senior Notes Offering
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented the underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by Indiana Michigan Power Company ("I&M") of $450 million aggregate principal amount of its 3.25% Senior Notes, Series O, due 2051. The transaction closed on April 29, 2021.
I&M is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company ("AEP") and is part of AEP's vertically integrated utilities segment. I&M is organized in Indiana and is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 602,000 retail customers in northern and eastern Indiana and a portion of southwestern Michigan, and supplies and markets electric power at wholesale to other electric utility companies, municipalities, rural electric cooperatives and other market participants. I&M owns or leases 3,634 MWs of generating capacity, and uses its generation to serve its retail and other customers.
