Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents CIFI in Connection with New Debt Facility for New Sustainable Fund

CIFI AM GP I LTD., the General Partner of CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund L.P. (“CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund”), a Canadian limited partnership, achieved the initial closing of the $300 million fund on June 23, 2023, with commitments for capital investments of up to $138 million from Norfund, PS Multi Asset Class Fund Inc., Prival Bond Fund S.A., Prival Bank S.A., Triodos Groenfunds N.V., MMG Bank Corporation and CIFI Asset Management Ltd., as Limited Partners.

In addition, the CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund closed in July 2023 on a $75 million long term debt facility provided by Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG), Finnish Fund For Industrial Cooperation LTD. (FinnFund), Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG (OeEB) and Société de Promotion et de Participation pour la Coopération Economique S.A (Proparco) as lenders, and DEG, as agent.

The CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund’s target markets are all countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and it aims to invest along with other affiliates of Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura S.A. (CIFI) in a diversified portfolio of debt investments and mezzanine investments in sustainable infrastructure projects in the energy, transportation and logistics, telecommunication and social and environmental sectors.

As an impact fund, the CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund will invest in projects that are in line with the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
