Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents IDB Invest in US$50 Million Loan to Chilean Private Equity Fund Volcomcapital

On July 25, 2022, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”) closed on a US$50 million secured warehousing facility to Volcomcapital Deuda V Fondo de Inversión Privado (“Volcomcapital”), a Chilean private equity fund. The proceeds of the loan will be used by Volcomcapital to purchase mortgage assets originated and managed by Creditú (AVLA Group Fintech) to improve access to financing for the middle-income segment, with special emphasis on social housing in Chile.

The U.S.-based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Chilean advice to IDB Invest was provided by Garrigues. Trancura Legal acted as legal advisors to Volcomcapital in Chile.
