Hunton & Williams Advises on AEP Texas Inc. $60 million Tax-Exempt Remarketing
Hunton & Williams LLP acted as counsel to the remarketing agent for the remarketing of $60,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Matagorda County Navigation District Number One (Texas) Pollution Control Revenue Refunding Bonds (Central Power and Light Company Project) Series 1996. The bonds were originally issued to refinance the cost of acquisition, construction and improvement of a pollution control project designed for the abatement of pollution and the disposal of solid wastes at the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station.
AEP Texas Inc. is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. AEP Texas Inc. is engaged in the transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 1,024,000 retail customers through retail electric providers in west, central and southern Texas.
