Hunton & Williams Advises on Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. $850 Million Debentures Offering

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Barclays Capital Inc., Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, as joint book-running managers on an SEC-registered offering by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (“CECONY”) of $850 million aggregate principal amount of debentures due 2044.

CECONY, a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc., provides electric service in all of New York City (except a part of Queens) and most of Westchester County, an approximately 660 square mile service area with a population of more than nine million. CECONY also provides gas service in Manhattan, the Bronx and parts of Queens and Westchester County, and steam service in parts of Manhattan.

The Hunton & Williams team included Steve Loeshelle, Michael Fitzpatrick and Christina Kwon. Ben Falk provided advice on Blue Sky and FINRA matters.
