Hunton & Williams Advises On Faroe Petroleum Cash Box

London 19 November 2010 – International law firm Hunton & Williams has advised Faroe Petroleum plc, an AIM-listed independent oil and gas company with interests in the Atlantic Margin, the North Sea and Norway, on a £62.2 million fundraising on AIM, achieved through a cash box placing, one of the largest ever placings of this kind on AIM.

This placing follows the £69.8 million rights issue by the company in April 2010, the largest in the past three years and one of the largest in the history of the UK’s junior stock market.

Hunton & Williams corporate partner Paul Tetlow, who led the team on both deals, with senior associate James Green, commented: "We have acted for Faroe since before it was admitted to AIM in 2003. Although the company carried out a rights issue earlier this year, Faroe has come back to the market in order to take advantage of the significant opportunities that it has generated since then. This is the just the latest stage in the steady growth and development of the company since its IPO."

Panmure Gordon and Oriel Securities were brokers to the company on the placing.
