CHARLOTTE, NC — April 17, 2013 —Hunton & Williams LLP announces the further growth of its global litigation practice with the return of Nash E. Long III as partner in Charlotte. Long, who joins from Winston & Strawn, focuses his practice on complex litigation, including arbitrations, jury trials, bench trials, and class actions related to environmental, business torts, commercial contract, intellectual property, construction, consumer law and product liability disputes.

"We are delighted that Nash is rejoining our team," said Sam A. Danon, head of the litigation and intellectual property practice. "Nash’s experience and proven abilities, especially in Clean Air Act actions, will be an advantage to clients in our established environmental practice."

Long represented several utility companies in the defense of enforcement actions under the Clean Air Act, including serving as first-chair trial lawyer. He also represented financial institutions and other clients in class action disputes, patent infringement matters, and contract disputes.

The litigation practice at Hunton & Williams maintains the knowledge and trial experience required to help businesses and individuals identify and manage potential risks, respond to existing or threatened litigation, and pursue resolution in every available venue. Combining the strengths of our regulatory and litigation teams, our lawyers handle complicated matters arising under both federal and state environmental laws.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Long received his JD from Harvard University. He clerked for now-retired Judge Frank Bullock, US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, before first joining Hunton & Williams in the late 1990s.
