Hunton & Williams LLP Elects New Partners

NEW YORK CITY — April 1, 2008 — Hunton & Williams LLP today announced the election of eleven lawyers to its partnership. The firm is pleased to recognize this talented group of individuals and their leadership ability to serve its clients. Sean M. Beard, John A. Decker, John J. Delionado, Steven B. Epstein, Lowell W. Harrison, Kevin F. Hull, Bradley T. Lennie, Michael P. F. Phelps, Dearbhla Quigley, Yisun Song, and Michael G. Wilson .

The short profiles below include the nature of each new partner’s practice, which range from intellectual property and bankruptcy matters to corporate finance and lending services law.

Sean M. Beard is a member of the firm's business practice group. Based in Richmond, his practice focuses on advising large and small corporate clients in areas of formation, governance, reorganization, mergers and acquisitions and securities law. Mr. Beard received his undergraduate degree in systems engineering with distinction from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. In November 2007, Mr. Beard was named a Stakeholder 100 Award Winner, a diversity award for top performing lawyers in the USA, by a selection committee of more than 20 general counsel from major corporations.

John A. Decker is a member of the firm's business practice group, newly based in its Atlanta office. His practice focuses on real estate and business transactions, including corporate and asset based lending, REITs, acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations and general corporate and business matters. Mr. Decker received his undergraduate degree in history and environmental science from the University of Virginia. He received his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Tennessee Law Review and staff editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Before relocating to Atlanta, Mr. Decker spent five years with the firm’s former practice in Knoxville.

John J. Delionado is a member of the firm’s litigation group and is based in the firm's Miami office. Mr. Delionado focuses his practice on general litigation with an emphasis on white collar criminal, securities, complex commercial, and financial regulatory litigation. As a former Assistant United States Attorney, his experience also includes government relations and internal investigations, and he has conducted several investigations into computer intrusions. Mr. Delionado received his undergraduate degree in classics and history from Amherst College and his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he was a Samuel J. Heyman Fellow for Public Service. Following law school, he was a law clerk for Hon. Federico A. Moreno, Southern District of Florida. Mr. Delionado was named an "Up and Comer" by the 2008South Florida Legal Guide.

Steven B. Epstein is a member of the firm's litigation group. Based in Raleigh, his practice focuses on product liability, personal injury and wrongful death, mass torts, commercial contract disputes, business torts, unfair trade practices, construction, and mediation and arbitration. Mr. Epstein received his undergraduate degree in political science with highest honors from the University of North Carolina. He holds a law degree with highest honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was Order of the Coif, a member of the Law Review, and a quarter-finalist of the National Moot Court Competition. Following law school, Mr. Epstein was a law clerk with Hon. W. Earl Britt, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina. He has been named a "North Carolina Super Lawyer" since 2006.

Lowell W. Harrison is a member of the firm's financial institutions, corporate and regulatory group. Based in Austin, he focuses on the corporate and regulatory representation of commercial banks, thrifts, holding companies, and other financial institutions throughout the United States and its territories. Mr. Harrison's practice encompasses a broad array of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, de novo bank formations, stock and asset acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and other general corporate, securities, and bank regulatory matters. A cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a degree in accounting, Mr. Harrison received his law degree cum laude from SMU-Dedman School of Law. He has been named a "Texas Rising Star" by Texas Super Lawyers magazine for the past three years.

Kevin F. Hull is a member of the firm's lending services group and is based in the firm's McLean office. He focuses on corporate and commercial finance transactions and transactional work for financial institutions, including asset based loans, real estate financing, construction and development, loan participations and syndications, loan workouts and restructurings. Mr. Hull received his undergraduate degree in commerce from the University of Virginia, his MBA from William & Mary, and a law degree from the William & Mary School of Law. Mr. Hull has been named to the "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business magazine since 2005 and a "2007 Rising Star" and "2008 Rising Star" by Virginia Super Lawyers.

Bradley T. Lennie is a member of the firm's intellectual property practice. Based in Washington, he concentrates on IP protection and enforcement, with an emphasis on patent infringement litigation, and has represented patent holders and accused infringers in patent infringement lawsuits in various U.S. District Courts throughout the country and in subsequent appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Lennie received his undergraduate degree in international relations with distinction from the University of Wisconsin and his law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law. He has received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs for successful representation of a pro bono client in an Americans with Disabilities Act trial before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Michael P. F. Phelps is a member of the firm's intellectual property practice. Based in the firm's McLean, Virginia office, he concentrates on IP issues, including patent procurement and enforcement, litigation and mediation, and licensing and transactional matters. He has experience in various fields of technology, including consumer appliances, mechanical structural systems, electrical power systems and controls, medical devices, industrial and road vehicle systems, nonwoven garment technology, food processing, and banking and other electronic commerce systems. Mr. Phelps received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia and his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. His previous work experience includes engineering experience in aluminum technology, industrial technology, and automotive structural design and fabrication.

Dearbhla Quigley is a member of the business practice group based in the firm's London office. An English-qualified solicitor, her practice focuses on public equity markets, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions. Her experience covers initial and secondary public offerings of shares, private offerings of shares, public takeovers, venture capital (for management teams and equity providers), mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures (both domestic and cross-border). Ms. Quigley holds an LL.B. with honors and an LL.M. with honors from Trinity College, Dublin. She was named one of the "Hot 100" lawyers in the UK and Europe by The Lawyer magazine in 2005, which described her as "bright and hardworking" and "fast developing a fantastic reputation in the AIM arena."

Yisun Song is a member of the firm's intellectual property practice. Based in Washington, her practice focuses on IP issues, including patent prosecution, patent litigation and counseling. She has experience in various fields of technology, including electronics, computer network systems, wireless communications, computer algorithms, database management and financial products. Ms. Song received an undergraduate degree cum laude in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a law degree with honors from George Washington University Law School. Following law school, Ms. Song was a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined patent applications directed to semiconductor lasers and optical fiber devices.

Michael G. Wilson is a member of the firm's bankruptcy practice. Based in Richmond, his practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, loan workouts, reorganizations, distressed asset sales and corporate recovery. Mr. Wilson has represented numerous chapter 11 debtors, chapter 11 trustees, official committees of unsecured creditors, secured and unsecured creditors, acquirors of distressed assets and parties in bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Wilson received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University and his law degree from the College of William & Mary School of Law, where he was a staff editor on its Bill of Rights Journal.
