RALEIGH, N.C. (May 28, 2008) - The law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP recently honored 22 attorneys from the firm's Raleigh office for their ongoing pro bono activities. Ten attorneys received the firm's E. Randolph Williams Award for providing in excess of 100 hours of pro bono legal services from April 2007 through March 2008. Another 12 attorneys were recognized for providing at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services during that time period.

In 1993, Hunton & Williams became a Charter Signatory to the Pro Bono Institute's Law Firm Pro Bono ChallengeSM to contribute to pro bono work an amount of time equal to 3 percent of the firm's total annual billable hours, at minimum. This year, attorneys in Hunton & Williams' Raleigh office provided nearly 2,300 hours of pro bono legal services, amounting to 4.47 percent of its billable hours. This placed the Raleigh office at the top of all 18 Hunton & Williams’ offices worldwide in terms of pro bono hours worked.
