Hunton & Williams LLP Represents Spanish Construction Conglomerate in Historic $1.78B Toll Roads Project

Miami — March 09, 2009 — Hunton & Williams LLP announces its representation as Florida and financing counsel to Spanish construction conglomerate ACS Infrastructure Development, Inc and I 595 Express, LLC, in their successful transaction with the Florida Department of Transportation for the expansion of Interstate 595 in Broward County, which closed on March 3, 2009.

The project is expected to ease congestion on I-595 by constructing three free travel lanes plus a reversible SunPass-only two-lane tolling area. Construction will extend over a five-year period, to begin in June 2009. ACS Infrastructure will operate the toll road.

"Our clients plan to team up with local contractors to reduce anticipated construction time significantly, for the benefit of Broward residents," said Miami partner Carlos Loumiet, who was assisted in Florida's first public-private- partnership (PPP) infrastructure deal by Alex McLane Soto, Cameron Cosby, John O'Neill, Jr. and other Hunton & Williams non-Florida lawyers. "This project should also bring a large economic investment and jobs to Broward County now, when they are needed."
