Hunton & Williams LLP Selected for Super Bowl XLV Pro Bono Representation
Hunton & Williams LLP has been selected by the SB XLV Host Committee to assist in the pro bono representation of Super Bowl XLV, which will be held in Dallas in 2011.
The North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, led by volunteers Roger Staubach, former Dallas Cowboy and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback who successfully led North Texas's bid to host the Super Bowl; Troy Aikman, former Dallas Cowboy quarterback and member of the NFL Hall of Fame; the mayors of Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth; and many prominent civic and business leaders.
In addition to promoting The Super Bowl, the Host Committee supports and promotes the community. Projects include a year-long series of events including a concert series in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington which will benefit local food banks and also provide a community facility for young girls and boys.
Hunton & Williams provides pro bono legal counsel to the Host Committee on a broad range of issues as they arise, such as vendor, concession, licensing and sponsor agreements and Super Bowl-related promotions and events.
