Investor Confidence, Market Integrity Rate High to SEC, Scott Kimpel Tells Bloomberg
Wall Street Campaign-Cash Restrictions Face Legal Attack
Bloomberg
Scott Kimpel talks with Bloomberg about the SEC rule that bars governors and other state officials from raising money from Wall Street for state or federal elections. “Ultimately, the commissioners were persuaded that the potential threat to investor confidence and the integrity of the markets was greater than any cost to the political process,” he said. Kimpel’s practice encompasses a range of matters involving securities laws, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and corporate governance. He previously served as counsel to a former SEC commissioner.
