Backers of an investment group have sued Hunton & Williams client NTP, alleging they are owed a portion of the $612.5 million settlement in a 2006 patent infringement case against BlackBerry maker Research In Motion. Speaking to the Miami Herald, Miami partner Barry Davidson refuted the plaintiffs' claims that they, not NTP, owned the patent for wireless messaging technology.
Davidson focuses his practice in the area of civil litigation throughout the State of Florida, with an emphasis on complex and class action business litigation, intellectual property, antitrust and products litigation.
