Kansas City Power & Light Company $350 Million Notes Offering
Hunton & Williams LLP advised Kansas City Power & Light Company on an SEC-registered offering of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 3.65% notes due 2025.
Kansas City Power & Light Company (the “Company”) is an integrated, regulated electric utility, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, that engages in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. As of December 31, 2014, the Company served approximately 520,700 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. The Company’s customers included approximately 459,000 residences, 59,600 commercial firms, and 2,100 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities as of December 31, 2014. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Plains Energy Incorporated.
