Peter Weinstock, the practice group co-leader for the firm’s financial institutions practice, told CNN Money that a big bank merger wave was not likely, considering there is an inventory of small failed banks and many of those hold risky commercial real estate loans. Weinstock focuses his practice on corporate and regulatory representation of small to some of the larger regional and national financial institution franchises.
