Quoted, Public Interest Litigation in Cyber Crimes and Internet-related Issues: Bangladesh & Global Perspective

Speaking to the University of Chittagong on the biggest issue facing cyberspace, Lisa Sotto expresses her concern for cyber crime,“If there is a failure of trust among Internet users, the Internet will suffer.” Lisa explains the risk involved with Internet technology, “There is a basic need for users to trust the infrastructure and platforms they use.” She adds, “If cyber criminals continue to conduct their activities unimpeded, the Internet will suffer enormous user skepticism, resulting in a failure of trust.”
