Secretary Chertoff Gives GMU Law Students A Glimpse of Future Opportunities
The firm's Washington office recently hosted the Honorable Michael Chertoff, former Secretary, Department of Homeland Security, who addressed George Mason University School of Law students who had just completed the inaugural seminar on Homeland Security Law, taught by Professors Evan Wolff, Counsel and Director of Hunton & Williams' Homeland Security Practice, and James McCament, Chief of Legislative Affairs Office at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, DHS.
The event also featured GMU Dean Daniel Polsby; the firm's Executive Committee Chair, Thurston Moore; Washington Office Managing Partner Andy Field; and Administrative Law Group Team Head, Bill Brownell, who also addressed the students.
With the support of GMU, Professors Wolff and McCament will spend the summer revising the course material and class exercises and will teach the course again in the Fall.
