Seramount Names Hunton Andrews Kurth to “50 Best Law Firms for Women & Diversity”

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP has been named one of the “50 Best Law Firms for Women & Diversity” for 2023 by Seramount and earned the right to be entered into the organization’s Hall of Fame for being recognized as a “Best Law Firm for Women” more than 10 times since the list’s inception in 2007. This annual list recognizes law firms that measure their progress in recruiting, retaining and advancing women. This year, Seramount broadened its assessment of firms’ inclusion efforts to also cover people of color, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities, as well as those from other underrepresented communities.

The firm has developed and implemented multiple programs that benefit women, including flexible and reduced-hours work arrangements, a concierge program, emergency back-up child and adult care, child care leave for both primary and non-primary caregivers, and accommodations for new mothers transitioning back to full-time employment. Women partners serve as members of the firm’s Executive Committee and head practice groups and firm offices. A strong sponsorship program and professional development curriculum offers leadership and business development training as well as mentoring and networking opportunities.
