She Builds, a Committee of Rebuilding Together NYC, Hosts Eighth Annual Rebuilding Day Revitalizing New York Spaces
She Builds, a committee of Rebuilding Together NYC (RTNYC), will host its eighth annual community revitalization project Thursday, July 25 at Mott Haven Houses. Each year, the She Builds committee brings together real estate industry leaders to give back and enact change through a service project aimed at transforming spaces across New York City. Given the success and impact made with creating community gardens in previous years, participants at this year’s event will head back to the Bronx to support Mott Haven residents in creating their own community garden and revitalize underused outdoor areas.
“We are excited to create a wonderful garden for Mott Haven residents, revitalizing their community space and providing a place for them to use and enjoy,” said She Builds Committee co-chair Laurie A. Grasso, co-chair of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP’s global real estate practice. She Builds Committee co-chair Laura Jackson, SL Green Realty Corp. senior vice president, added: “Our annual She Builds projects not only benefit our local neighborhoods but also mobilize the real estate community to give back in meaningful ways. This demonstrates our commitment to social responsibility and strengthens our relationships with the communities we serve.”
