The M&A Advisor Honors Partner Austin Maloney at 2024 Emerging Leaders Awards

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Austin Maloney was named among the winners of the 15^th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards by The M&A Advisor. The awards recognize young professionals under the age of 40 who have made groundbreaking contributions to the fields of M&A, corporate finance and restructuring, demonstrating unwavering dedication to their profession and to charitable causes. A panel of independent judges selected the winners from a large pool of candidates based on their accomplishments in business and community service.

Maloney counsels strategic clients, private equity funds, and their portfolio companies in executing merger and acquisition strategies and has experience advising clients in connection with domestic and cross-border acquisitions and dispositions. He focuses his practice on transactions in the private middle-market. Maloney has represented clients in connection with more than 100 acquisitions and divestitures, and he also serves as trusted counsel to in-house legal teams and business principals on day-to-day governance and contracting issues.

Maloney’s experience covers a breadth of industries and client types, including financial services companies (particularly mortgage industry participants), fastener and component manufacturers, consumer retail brands, food manufacturing and packaging brands, major US energy companies (particularly regarding midstream and upstream assets), entrepreneurs exiting their companies, and energy producers in tax credit transactions.
