Virginia Business Honors Amy Williams In Women In Leadership Feature

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Richmond-based partner, Amy McDaniel Williams, was recently named to Virginia Business magazine’s Women in Leadership issue. This annual publication features profiles of some of the Commonwealth's most impressive and accomplished female leaders across a variety of sectors.

Williams is a seasoned structured finance lawyer who has represented both borrowers and lenders in structuring and closing asset-based finance transactions involving a variety of assets, including residential and commercial loans, servicing advances, servicing rights and mortgage-backed securities (MBS). She has represented Ginnie Mae since the early 1990s when she helped develop its multiclass program and regularly assists clients in modernizing their programs by advising about LIBOR transition, electronic mortgages, e-notes, and hybrid mortgage closings. Williams was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Securitization Finance Association (SFA) and serves as Vice Chair of the Securitization and Structured Finance Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Williams is also a strong force in her community at large as co-founder and president of Amy's Army of Cancer Warriors, a non-profit committed to advancing life-saving, groundbreaking cancer research at VCU Massey Cancer Center. The organization has raised over $100,000 for cancer research in the past five years and expanded to form Life in Fitness (LIFT), a wellness community for cancer survivors and thrivers in Richmond.
