Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities Bestows Humanitarian Award on Heidi Abbott

Heidi Abbott was among the recipients of the 52nd Humanitarian Awards, presented by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities on October 27. In accepting the honor, Abbott said, “I believe there is value in creating communities of inclusion because without them we are nothing. Children are our best teachers in this regard because they are intuitively inclusive. They do not discriminate”. Abbott’s practice focuses on civic engagement, government relations and external affairs.
