YWCA Richmond Recognizes Rudene Mercer Haynes at the 2023 Outstanding Women Awards

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP Partner Rudene Mercer Haynes was recently named a 2023 Outstanding Women Award honoree in the Volunteerism category by YWCA Richmond. The Outstanding Women Awards honor women in the Greater Richmond area who “have made significant contributions to their community through their exceptional leadership, sustained dedication and inspiring achievements.”

Honorees joined an esteemed group of more than 400 female leaders who encourage, promote and create lasting changes in the Richmond community.

Haynes co-leads the firm’s servicer advance financing practice, and has historically represented Ginnie Mae in its Multiclass and Mortgage-Backed Securities programs. The results of her work representing issuers and underwriters in US asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities has helped make homeownership affordable and possible for many Americans. Haynes also serves as firm-wide hiring partner, where she is committed to expanding the pipeline of diverse candidates and creating a culture of inclusion where everyone has the opportunity to excel in the legal profession.
