HuntonAK Labor and Employment partner Emily Burkhardt Vicente was honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal's 2023 Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Awards as a nominee for Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Executive of the Year.

The Los Angeles Business Journal honored diversity, inclusion, and equity champions in the Los Angeles region for their ongoing efforts to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace and business leadership.  As co-chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Emily works to promote opportunities for women and diverse lawyers within the firm and profession.  In her practice, Emily  regularly works with clients on the design and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programs to help companies achieve their DEI goals while remaining in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Emily was recently named as a 2022 Go-To Thought Leader by The National Law Review; recognized in the 2022 inaugural Leaders of Influence: Labor and Employment Attorneys in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Business Journal; recognized as a 2022 Diversity & Inclusion Visionary in The Los Angeles Times’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility magazine.
